The objective of REWERSE is to establish Europe as a leader in the area of reasoning languages for Web systems and applications through networking and the structuring of a scientific community and by providing the technological basis for the industrial software development of advanced Web systems and applications. In order to achieve these concrete goals:

REWERSE will develop a coherent, complete, and minimal collection of reasoning languages and prototype processors for these languages for advanced Web systems and applications
REWERSE will test these languages and their prototype processors on context-adaptive Web systems and on Web-based decision support systems that have been selected as testbeds for proof-of-concept purposes
REWERSE will bring the proposed languages and their prototype processors to the level of (implemented and tested prototypically) open pre-standards, which can then be submitted to standardization bodies.
